To create the “Hoof”, I chose my very largest, heaviest leather stamp in order to make the boldest tag design of all.  The tool itself resembles a horse hoof, and leaves an incredibly deep, brash impression.  These impressions stay natural in color, even when the rest of the tag is block dyed to create a variety of rich brown shades.  The underside of the leather is also left natural, and the contrast between the deep browns and the natural leather is stunning.  The “Hoof” is a standout among leather travel goods, and a great gift for the lover of all things rustic.
